Experience the benefits of aromatherapy with the Sanctum AromaPendant --your own personal essential oil diffuser. This beautiful hand-crafted sterling silver necklace was inspired by the artist's fascination with ancient Byzantine art and does double duty as a lovely piece of jewelry AND a an effective personal diffuser.

Inside the delicate silver tracery is a colored glass vial containing an absorbent cotton wad. To use, simply open the hinged top of the pendant, remove the vial, and pour a few drops of your favorite essential oil or essential oil blend onto the cotton, re-insert the glass vial, and you're ready to go! Your body heat will gently diffuse your chosen scent, slowly releasing its aroma throughout the day. The hinged top is open so the scent rises directly up towards your nose. We recommend changing the cotton wad when you want to wear a different scent (see directions below).

Comes with two additional colored glass inserts (one green and one magenta) for accessorizing, and four cotton wads, packaged in a flip up jewelry box. Chain length is 20" (10" on each side) and pendant is approximately 1.25" in length). Makes a great gift for you or someone you love!

Step 1

Apply a few drops (1-4) of your favorite essential oil or blend to one of the cotton wads that came with your pendant. Allow the oil to soak in. You can modulate the strength of diffusion by using fewer drops for a subtle effect, or more drops for a stronger effect. Don't over do it. If you use too much of an essential oil can have the opposite effect from what you intended!

Step 2

Open the sterling silver filligree enclosure and remove the glass blue insert. Remove the old wad with a pair of tweezers. Place the fresh soaked cotton wad into the blue glass insert. Use a pair of tweezers, an orange stick, or some other object with a pointy tip to help push the wad all the way in.

Step 3

Slip the blue glass insert back inside the sterling silver enclosure, close the lid, and you're pendant is ready to wear! The essential oils you added to the cotton wad will diffuse upwards throught the top of the enclosure, providing you with direct inhalation. You can refresh the wads without removing them from the glass insert but make sure to remove the glass insert from the pendant before adding more oil.

Some Suggested Uses:

A drop or two of Eucalyptus essential oil can help clear your sinuses when you are slightly congested or clear your mind when you need to focus.

A drop or two of Lavender essential oil (French or Bulgarian) can help calm your nerves when you're feeling anxious or you feel a headache coming on.

A drop or two of Neroli, Tangerine, or Jasmine Absolute essential oil will lift your spirits when you're feeling blue

A drop or two of Frankincense can help you open up when you're having dificulty communicating with someone

A drop or two of Bitter Orange can help suppress your appetite when you're trying to control eating habits
